Often the hardest part of running is finding the motivation to step outside, particularly when that lap around the block is destined to be a solo expedition. The good news is that you'll never have to run solo again. Held every Tuesday, rain or shine, adidas Run Club is a free fitness event, inviting runners of all skill levels, not only to run, but connect with a group of like-minded people.

The run departs from Platinum Sports Co. Victoria Park at 6pm before embarking on distances of either 5km, 7km or 10km. Pacesetters lead different paces for each distance, so depending on how far and fast you want to go, the club caters to a range of running levels.

Following each event, experienced professionals including some of New Zealand's top athletes will be on hand to share their knowledge on a range of fitness and health topics. As well as this, the club has a monthly social club night where there will be food trucks, tasty beverages and a live DJ.

This month has a primary focus of injury prevention with New Zealand High Jumper Liz Lamb (August 23) sharing her insights and experiences on the topic. adidas RunClub is a social network of fun, motivated people who meet weekly to expand their social circles, and participate in and learn about running, fitness, wellness and nutrition. It's also our pick for the Auckland go-to for social fitness on a Tuesday night.
