Overview

There's one particular kind of spirit on the menu at Welcome to Bowen Hills this weekend — and it's dark, distilled in a barrel and has a kick. There'll be multiple ways to drink it, whether you'd like to sip mint juleps or old fashioneds. And if you're keen on something different, the likes of saint sours, NOLA espressos, Creole bloody marys and Texan mules will also be on offer.

That's the beverage lineup at the venue's two-day New Orleans Bourbon Festival. Everything from the food to the tipples to the entertainment will celebrate the first or second part of the event's name, or both. From open until close on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29, that includes appropriate cuisine served up by the venue's resident food trucks, plus big band music — so prepare to eat, drink and dance.

As always at the Bowen Hills site, you can also get your doggo in on the fun as well.
