Coopers Bakehouse

Bakery by week, cafe by weekend.

At Sunnybank's newest cafe, prepare to be very aware of what day of the week it is — but completely ignore everything you know about what foods you should be eating when. During the week, the Troughton Road spot is a bakery; on the weekends, it becomes cute, cosy cafe Coopers Bakehouse. And when it comes to food, its Asian fusion menu is an all-day affair.

Perusing the eatery's Vietnamese-influenced options, you're probably going to want to stick with having some selections for lunch, such as rice paper rolls. Others demand a bit of temporal experimentation. Savoury pork meatballs, slow-cooked beef stew, fresh-baked banh mi, 48-hour-brewed pho or sticky maple barbecue ribs for brekkie, anyone?

It's enough to make you completely rethink how you start your days, and open your eyes to a whole heap of other new morning choices. Pair your choice of meal with a Vietnamese drip coffee, and you're set for a sweet feast — and a tasty one.
