The Colour Nine

Stafford's new cafe hangout.

Overview

Sometimes, all you need is a nice cup of coffee, a simple yet delicious bite to eat, and a shady suburban place to enjoy them in. That's one of life's simple pleasures. Moroccan chorizo jaffles, cured kingfish tacos, and blueberry pancakes with lemon curd, nutty tella (you know what it's supposed to be), and salted walnut crumbs — well, they're much more complex delights.

You'll find all of the above at The Colour Nine on Mawson Street in Stafford Heights; however, if you live nearby, what you'll really find is an ace new local hangout spot. The even better news is that, if you like the fine fare they're serving but you don't have time to perch on a seat under an umbrella to enjoy it, it's also available for takeaway.

From peach and mint iced tea to cold-brew caffeine fixes, and breakfast rolls to croissants and other pastries, there's something for all tastes for breakfast, brunch and lunch seven days a week. Be sure to keep an eye out for The Colour Nine's weekend specials, though. That's when the likes of doughnut bites and beef, bacon and beetroot on brioche make an appearance.
