Overview

It's bustling every weekend. Crammed with people inside and out, dogs, prams and workout gear galore, Vue Lounge is a New Farm institution and a perennial favourite with the locals. Why? One glance at the giant portions leaving the kitchen and you'll have an inkling.
With an extensive all-day menu covering sweet, savoury and everything in between, Vue has every delicious combination covered. Anyone can find something on the menu they'll like. Literally, anyone. From creamy Bircher with berry compote and pistachios ($12.90), brioche French toast with maple, mascarpone, strawberries and passionfruit or ricotta hotcakes with maple, banana and burnt salted caramel butter ($15.90), the sweet breakfaster is well catered for. For the health conscious, the avocado on seeded sourdough with feta, pesto and lime ($10.90) or the Snap Fitness breakfast consisting of poached eggs, smoked salmon, smashed avocado, toasted tomato, asparagus and wilted spinach on seeded sourdough ($21.90) is sure to satisfy.

But hey, it's the weekend and you might as well go all out with options like the spiced slow-cooked beef with poached eggs, harissa hollandaise on sourdough ($18.90), the poached eggs, babaganoush, fried safe, confit garlic, and asparagus on corn bread ($17.90) or the croissant with scrambled eggs, leek, goats cheese and crispy pancetta ($18.90). Serving equally iconic Queensland Di Bella coffee, breakfast at Vue really is an all-day affair, needing all morning to get through the meal and then all afternoon to digest it.

Alternatively you can head there for lunch and indulge in a signature gourmet Vue burger. Setting you back no more that $18, this treat includes a thick, juicy patty on a sweet, pillowy brioche bun served with a side of golden beer-battered fries. Choose from combinations such as the aptly named Camemburger (chicken, bacon, egg, mayo, tomato, camembert and rocket) or the Euro (with Vue's own corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, dill pickle and Russian dressing).

Refreshing their menu regularly and providing tip top service, Vue continues to prove time and time again why it's so popular with the locals. The proof is in the pudding… or should we say patty?
