Overview

Castelsardo's history dates back to before the Middle Ages when it was a fortress around the castle of the Dorias.

Today, the village is home to the Museo dell'Intreccio Mediterraneo. Ancient castles, churches, palazzos and monasteries provide endless opportunities to learn about the town's history.

Past the man-made historical sites, there are also natural wonders of archaeology to be discovered, including the nuraghe Paddaju and Monte Ossoni. For those who prefer to relax, sail around Puntapunta La Capra and enjoy the local catch of the day.
