Overview
The Holocaust Memorial Museum, often described as "haunting," is a solemn tribute and museum dedicated to Hungarian Jewish people. Through a blend of written narratives and video presentations, it recounts the harrowing history of the Holocaust.
Housed within the former Páva Synagogue walls at 39 Páva Utca, Budapest, the Holocaust Memorial Centre was established as a national institution by the government in 1999. After renovation, it was reopened as a memorial and museum in 2004.
