Overview
It wouldn't be a fringe festival without a raucous comedy lineup, and Adelaide Fringe is ready to deliver the laughs. Adelaide's year-round comedy hub, the Rhino Room, will host some of the festival's leading comedy headliners and side-splitting shows.
Favoured funnymen Nazeem Hussain and Guy Williams will kick things off from Friday, February 16 to Saturday, February 24, followed by up-and-comers Samuel Gebreselassie, Nath Valvo, Lou Wall and Bron Lewis in the coming weeks.
If you can't settle on just one comedian to see, head to the Rhino Room Late Show for a mystery lineup every Friday and Saturday night from 10pm. The longest-running show at Adelaide Fringe is a fan favourite for a reason, with some of the 80 comics from the festival dropping in to perform on any given night.
Combine comedy with the topic du jour of true crime and you're guaranteed a good time. For fun you can join in on, check out Comedy Cluedo, where you'll be tasked with solving the murder of comedian Lucy Henderson, or tag along on the True Crime Walking Tour, where Shayne Hunter will take you through Adelaide's twisted history.
Other shows on the program include Lost in Translation, where performers will read translated scripts of beloved films, and zany musical sketch show Hot Fat Crazy.
