Overview

Adelaide's celebration of all things brewed and barbecued will, thankfully, be going ahead in 2020 — but in a different season and with a slightly different format. Instead of its usual mid-winter slot, the Beer and BBQ Festival will be going ahead in summer. And this hot session will be dubbed BBF Homebrewed.

Taking over the Adelaide Showground from Friday, December 4–Sunday, December 6, the festival will shine the spotlight on SA producers and chefs, with the help of a handful of interstate folk.

As it's summer, the food and drink lineup will be focused on refreshing brews and lighter-style barbecued meats. On the drinks front, expect plenty of sours and lagaritas from the likes of Woolshed Brewery, Pirate Life, Beernoevil and Whet Whistle. Grilling up the good stuff will be the likes of Fire x Soi 38, Gang Gang, Barry's Burgers, Angler Stirling, Afri-disiac and a whole heap more.

In typical BBF fashion, there'll be lots of entertainment, too, with a 'beer bod' wet t-shirt championship, chilli eating competitions, a silent disco and heaps of homegrown tunes from Chunky Custard, Sabitha & the Knifey Wifeys and The Superjesus (and more).

Tickets will set you back $25 for Sunday, $40 for Friday or Saturday, or $85 for the whole weekend.
