Taking inspiration from the Chili Pepper's album of the same name, Mothers Milk is a moody homage to grunge and alternative music. Hidden down the Windsor end of Chapel Street, this double storey bar is stuffed with plenty of luxe chesterfields and velvet couches. Head upstairs for a cosy timber-panelled rooftop bar, complete with heaters for fussy weather, or retractable awnings for a spot of vitamin D. Downstairs, nab a spot near the fire and enjoy house-made pickle-backs and whisky cocktails. For those partial to the shot + stubby combo, the boilermaker selection should keep everyone occupied for several solid rounds.
The fit-out is a little bit Don Draper (think: banker's lamps and low tables) with a healthy dash of hooliganism thrown in. For those with a little energy to burn, head to the arcade games and turn things up a notch with a few spirited rounds of pinball. Still feeling raucous? The weekend DJs kick off around 10pm.
