If you missed Gelato Messina's degustation bar the last three times, you're in luck because the gelato team is coming back to Melbourne this November. Messina's Creative Department is returning to the secret room behind its Windsor store to serve up seven-course degustations for eight nights.

So what kind of gelato creations can you expect this time round? Spring flavours including seasonal fruits, herbs and Japanese aromatics. One course might see you testing your tastebuds with a savoury black garlic gelato while another might have you digging in to a strawberry-shaped sorbet mound with red wine and hibiscus jelly.

Tickets are $130 per person and, with just eight seats available at each sitting, you can book for groups of two, four, six or eight of your gelato-loving mates. The dinners will run at 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and at 4.30pm, 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Saturday between November 1–11.
