Overview

If fossicking through vintage fashion and handcrafted ceramics is your ideal way to spend a Sunday morning, Melbourne's newest Sunday market might just be for you. Held at Brighton's Half Moon, the Social Market is a monthly event where you can browse and purchase handmade treasures from more than 25 stallholders. Unlike other markets across town, you won't need to wake up at the crack of dawn to snag a bargain, as the market doesn't kick off until 10am and it runs until sunset.

Stroll through the market and check out the offerings as you enjoy live music and roving performers. For those who can't shop without coffee in-hand, Miss Fleur Coffee Van will set up shop each market day to ensure your caffeine needs are well looked after, while Colonial Brewing Co. will bring a mobile bar where shoppers can purchase an ice-cold brew. After shopping, pop into Half Moon for a bite to eat — the venue's Sunday roast option is an especially appealing way to finish the weekend.

The Social Market launches on Sunday, 12 November and will run on the second Sunday of every month.
