If you're keen for a break from your own four walls and are looking to launch yourself into the wilderness this summer, there's a sweet little character named Elliott that you might just want to meet. It's the latest eco-friendly tiny home from the crew at NSW's In2TheWild Tiny Holidays, it's located right next to Grampians National Park and — just as Victoria's lockdowns are easing, with regional holidays set to be allowed from November 8 — it's now open for bookings.

Designed with a minimal environmental footprint and positioned in idyllic, natural surrounds, In2TheWild's off-grid homes are out to offer an antidote to hectic city life (or a tense stay-at-home year). The tiny homes provide a chance to get away, switch off, take a break from the grind and get back in touch with nature, aka something we could all use at the moment. Given Elliott's location, think peaceful strolls and visits to vineyards in this specific instance.

Situated in Halls Gap, a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Melbourne, Elliott can sleep four — thanks to a queen bed in its loft, plus two singles downstairs. All the mod-cons are catered for, including a fully equipped kitchen, a proper bathroom (complete with hot shower, toilet and basin), and heating for winter stays and fans for warmer trips.

There's also a campfire and barbecue outside, meaning that the outdoor space also doubles as an extended living area. And, the whole space is powered by the sun and a couple of gas bottles, but you'll find books, boardgames, towels, linen and a USB charger to see you comfortably through your stay.

Elliott joins In2TheWild's five other Victorian sites — including the Goulburn River Valley's Phoebe and Hepburn Springs' Sancho, plus Max in Mansfield Shire, Wilbur in Mitchell Shire and Harper in the Macedon Ranges Region. The company also boasts 14 tiny homes in New South Wales and one in Queensland.

To help you really unplug, the exact locations of In2TheWild's tiny homes are shared just a few days before your stay. Also, they have little-to-no reception — so you'll have absolutely no excuse for ignoring Mother Nature.

Elliott is located in Halls Gap and is taking bookings, starting from $349 per night — with a minimum two-night stay on Fridays and Saturdays.
