People who say they head to ski resorts simply to ski should not be trusted. Everyone knows that once the day on the slopes is over, that's when you really get down to business.
Après-ski parties are what you're really there for, and Thredbo has you covered. On Saturday, June 30, make sure you don your best retro ski suits and borderline-ugly vintage sweaters and get ready to party at Canadian Club's First Base: A Vintage Après Soirée.
House DJs will warm things up and ease you into the party (with a little help from a certain Canadian whisky) from 2pm till 4.30pm, before some big names take to the stage. If you've ever wondered what it would sound like if Client Liaison and Flight Facilities teamed up, you're about to get an answer. Tom Tilley of Triple J and Client Liaison fame (he oft plays backup bass at the duo's gigs) and Hugo Gruzman of Flight Facilities will take to the decks, spinning smooth 80s throwbacks filled with plenty of nostalgia.
If you're back in Thredbo later in the season, Canadian Club presents First Base: A Vintage Après Soirée will be repeated on August 4 with Touch Sensitive headlining, and on September 8 with Joyride.
