Sydney has plenty of openair cinemas, but only one that lets you watch a flick under the stars on the actual Sydney Harbour. Floating Cinema takes place on the top deck of a boat, where you'll cruise around for three leisurely hours, watching a classic flick.

A bar on board the boat is stocked with all your drink and snack needs (these will need to be purchased separately to the ticket). Taking place in October and December this year, and February in 2020, the cinema features a lineup of cult classics.

In October, you can get spooked with The Sixth Sense and The Blair Witch Project, while December presents a suitably festive lineup of Elf, Die Hard and Home Alone — the latter taking place on Christmas Eve. The season will wrap up with Crazy Stupid Love on Valentine's Day and a special Mardi Gras screening. While it hasn't been announced yet, we're expecting it'll be classic queer cinema — like, hopefully, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Tickets are are cheaper the earlier you buy them, so hop to it.
