Overview

Coastella returns to the Kapiti Coast for its third year, set to help Wellingtonians groove the last of summer away. With the help of some sweet local and international artists, the crew behind the festival has been working away at creating the perfect coastal utopia for festival fanatics.

This year headliners will perform in a natural grassy amphitheatre, a lakeside stage and an intimate renovated shipping container. Painted as a "vibrant summer musical discovery", the one-day festival will see the likes of Kiwi favourites The Black Seeds and Australian brass group Hot Potato Band converging on Paraparaumu's Southwards Car Museum Grounds, providing a soulful escape for city slickers.

The festival is all ages, but for those in need of an extra late-night boogie, local group RHOMBUS will be leading the R18 after-party festivities. Coastella is providing a go-green and sober bus service with return fares from the city, and delicious food vendors handpicked by Wellington on a Plate.
