Heyday Beer Co is here to tickle us pink with its upcoming Karma Keg celebrations. Starting on Thursday 17 May, the Cuba Street brewpub will be bringing back a crowd favourite, the Flamboyance Pomegranate saison. Not only will this brighten many patron's days, but it will also raise money for the charity, Pink Shirt Day.
Pink Shirt Day is recognised globally for its efforts to stop bullying and create safe schools and communities. The day itself celebrates when two Canadian students took a stand against homophobic bullying in 2007. Since then, New Zealand has been supporting the movement by celebrating Pink Shirt Day to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation.
The good folks at Heyday are not only helping out with a charity keg, but also by hosting a pink party on the Friday. This will be a night of pink shirts, drinks and foodie treats. So, help support the good cause by wearing pink and grabbing a brew from the keg.
We will definitely cheers to that.
