Overview

Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga in collaboration with Wellington Frocks on Bikes will commemorate the 125th anniversary of women's suffrage in New Zealand with the Kate Sheppard Ride.

Riders are encouraged to dress to impress for the celebratory ride which will make its way through the streets of Wellington on Saturday, 22 September. The group ride will kick off at 1.30pm at Old St Paul's before hitting the streets of Thorndon and the Wellington CBD. It will take in significant historic and heritage places such as the Old St Paul's, Wellington Museum, National Library, Thistle Inn and Premier House before concluding at Old Government Buildings with a celebratory refreshments and a prize for best dressed.

Tickets are limited to 145 participants and available for a Kate Sheppard $10 note. The event registration includes a 125 Cupcake from the Cake Society, refreshments from Six Barrel Soda, a printed and reusable tote bag full of goodies.
