Overview

If laughter is the best medicine then Wellingtonian's are in the midst of a healing revolution. The award-winning The Medicine Stand-Up Comedy Show is on every week at The Fringe Bar. Taking first place for Best Comedy Show in 2014 and 2015, it's a midweek spectacle that puts everyone in stitches – just what the doctor ordered, right?

Each week brings a new an exciting batch of comedians to the stage alongside the headlining MC, there to administer natural pain relief to get you through the rest of the workweek. Wednesday's lineup showcases celebrated local talent, including crowd favourites Lucy Forrestal, Mike Fowler and Hugo Huntington.

The show seems to be becoming a Wellington must-see as more and more people show up each week to get their share of the laughter pie. The night takes place at The Fringe Bar at 7pm every Wednesday for a bit of uncensored fun, along with plenty of nibbles and drinks available.
