Overview

Celebrate 125 years of women's suffrage at City Gallery's next Tuatara Open Late: Suffrage 125. Art, music, film, talks, beer, wine, food — what else does one need?

Experience a range of powerful voices exploring and unpacking various topics. These include feature film Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer and bitter-sweet short films by upcoming Saudi directors — Nada Al-Mojadedi's Zaina's Cake and Hanaa Saleh Alfassi's Lollipop. Screenings will be introduced by Victoria University film lecturer Missy Molloy and Assistant Curator Moya Lawson.

Art historian Milly Mitchell-Anyon will talk about new exhibition, Patrick Pound: On Reflection, and the evening will conclude with renowned singer and songwriter Julia Deans performing live.

Beginning at 5pm, get in early to ensure you taste some of the delicious treats provided by Pomegranate Kitchen and enjoy the on-site cash bar. See a full rundown of the night's offerings here.
