Overview

One of New Zealand's most exciting bands, and a favourite on festival circuits, Yoko-Zuna is making the trip to play one of the Matterhorn's last gig spots before closing.

In their first set of the night, YZ will play J-Dilla and Daft Punk, before coming in hot with their own originals in the second set. After the release of two albums in 2015 and 2016 respectively, Yoko-Zuna have established themselves as ones to watch. The four members have years of experience between them, both across different acts and through jazz school, so they're also masters of a live show. Rumour has it their next offering is due to be released in early 2018.

Their combination of electronic and hip hop compositions with sub-electronic frequencies, intense drops and melodic moments to be found make for a riveting show. With their two sets, the audience will really be getting a sense of what these guys can do.
