Win a double pass to Royal New Zealand Ballet Wellington opening performance of Allegro at the St James Theatre on Friday, August 15 2014. Email [email protected] a photo of you dressed in a tutu to go in the draw. Just kidding, put the subject line ALLEGRO and make sure you are subscribed to Concrete Playground.

Ethan Stiefel's swan song to his artistic direction career at the Royal New Zealand Ballet is the ever-popular five-piece ballet sampler show, balancing out the more contemporary styles of the dance with its more established counterparts.

The show includes works from Daniel Belton, Larry Keigwin and Johan Kobborg.

Better known for award-winning dance films, Kiwi Daniel Belton's world premiere programme Satellites is a multimedia integration of kinetic sculpture, animation and electronic music.

Meanwhile, the neoclassical New York choreographer Larry Keigwin is behind two of the pieces Mattress Suite - a series of love affairs - and Megalopolis - formalism and club culture.

Giselle co-choreographer Johan Kobborg will be returning with his signature Les Lutins, a piece with three dancers, a violinist and a pianist performing live on stage.
