Are you an ambitious, commercially-minded problem solver with excellent writing, interpersonal and organisational skills? Concrete Playground is looking for a skilled professional to join its Sydney team as Client Services Manager.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

A smart, confident individual who is driven to deliver sophisticated digital media campaigns from concept to completion, serving as the eyes and ears for Concrete Playground's Branded Content team throughout the production process.

The Client Services Manager will work across multiple large-scale campaigns concurrently, producing work of the highest standard on-time and on-budget.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, directing, delegating and tracking the production of multiple digital campaigns, ensuring that both Concrete Playground and the client see valuable ROI from the project,
  • Acting as an architect for 360-degree digital solutions — leading, empowering, facilitating and communicating the production plan for the project to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Bringing individuals and teams together internally to ensure that all projects are sufficiently resourced and can be delivered to tight deadlines.
  • Providing proficient client management and organisational support to the Business Team, regularly interfacing with professionals at the highest organisational levels within the client base.
  • Working with the Branded Content team to produce sponsored content campaigns consistent with Concrete Playground's style and tone, including written editorial, photography and video content, events and experiential activations.
  • Aiding the Partnerships team with content creation, content building and sub-editing, using the Concrete Playground CMS where necessary, and amplifying campaigns via social channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Using programs like Basecamp, WordPress and Slack to keep the Business and Partnerships teams consistently up-to-date on the status of their campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in communications, marketing / advertising or similar.
  • 2-4 years experience in project management with a publisher, media owner, media agency, creative agency or similar.
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and creative flair.
  • Experience with CMS (WordPress preferable), Project Management tools (Excel, Basecamp, etc) and social platforms (Facebook Business Manager).
  • A great attitude – you must be upbeat, enthusiastic, ready to learn and the consummate team player.

We're looking for an ambitious person who can work collaboratively to create and implement advertising sales campaigns and partnerships with some of Australia's and the world's top brands, institutions and events.

We are committed to finding meaningful and relevant ways for brands and institutions to connect with our highly engaged audience. Concrete Playground partners with brands like American Express, Heineken, Google, Samsung and Tanqueray to create memorable content and experiences for its readers.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing direct and agency clients across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Driving sales, digital innovations and revenue opportunities through the business in order to meet revenue targets.
  • Providing sales and client management support to the Commercial Director.
  • Working with the Branded Content team to deliver content and experiences for our brand partners.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience working in digital with a particular focus on display, content and/or social solutions, with 3-5 years in a sales role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Natural ability to work collaboratively and lead teams of people.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Superb client and personal management skills.
  • Sound ability to create, develop and present proposals and reports.

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an ambitious self-starter with excellent creative, organisational and interpersonal skills to join our Sydney team as Videographer. You'll need to be a triple threat who can produce, shoot and edit videos for Concrete Playground's website and social platforms.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll be part of a small but passionate team that drives the implementation of Concrete Playground's branded content and advertising campaigns. You'll work closely with the sales and editorial teams to produce world-class video for our partners as well as organic video content designed to grow the CP brand.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Concept, plan and manage video shoots from end-to-end, ensuring seamless delivery that is on-time and to budget.
  • Produce and shoot high quality video content all over Australia that represents Concrete Playground's unique aesthetic and editorial tone of voice.
  • Select and source influencer talent to appear in video content, and provide high-quality storyboards to clients as proof of concept.
  • Edit video content to ensure it is fit-for-purpose across Concrete Playground's multi-channel ecosystem.
  • Provide support to the Operations, Sales and Editorial teams, balancing the needs of our branded content video output and organic video output.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-4 years experience in the video production space (preferably with a digital publisher, video production house or creative agency).
  • Proficient with Sony mirrorless cameras and a good understanding of shooting in the s-log colour space.
  • Must be able to confidently shoot and direct as a one person team for our small shoots.
  • Must be a strong editor, using software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition.
  • A proficient understanding of sound equipment and recording voice-overs on location.
  • A clear understanding of Concrete Playground's visual style and editorial tone of voice.
  • A driver's license and the desire to travel extensively as part of this role.
  • Excellent communication, client management skills and attention to detail.
  • A great attitude – you must be upbeat, enthusiastic, ready to learn and the consummate team player.

Concrete Playground is currently seeking a skilled writer and editor to join its Sydney team as News & Features Editor, driving our daily agenda and contributing to the brand's traffic growth and audience engagement.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Reporting to the Editorial Director, and working closely with the editorial team and a national contributor network, you'll be Concrete Playground's go-to news editor Monday to Friday. As someone who closely follows the news and inherently understands the cultural landscape of your city, you'll come up with story ideas, edit and write articles, and publish and share timely content.

You'll know the difference between clickbait and genuinely great, clickable content. You'll dream up new creative ideas, commission editorial and photography work, and work with the team to produce beautiful, compelling digital content every day.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the Editorial Director and editorial team to execute Concrete Playground's editorial strategy across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Juggling breaking news with multiple competing deadlines and delivering website content in a timely fashion to our readers.
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of a network of freelance writers and photographers across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Commissioning and producing interesting, engaging and topical digital content about food, drink, arts, culture, technology, travel, lifestyle and urban affairs.
  • Developing new ideas for creative content that resonates with our readers.
  • Fastidious sub-editing of our digital content, making images, text, video and links work together as a happy whole.
  • Management of social media and newsletter channels to ensure our content is being promoted and repurposed efficiently.
  • Tracking and evaluating analytics to drive the business' growth in traffic, market share and engagement.
  • Proactively monitoring trends across other media platforms, engaging in industry best practices and delivering insights to the team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A university degree in media, arts or a related field.
  • At least three years' experience as a writer or editor in digital media.
  • A creative and strategic self-starter with the ability to hold others accountable to deadlines.
  • A strong engagement with the cultural scene of your city.
  • A motivated team player who can work collaboratively within a team.
  • You're adaptable, proactive and enthusiastically embrace new ideas.
  • A detailed understanding of the ANZ media environment and a commitment to furthering the interests and needs of our broad and diverse audience.
  • A demonstrated ability to write smart, funny, popular articles, and to come up with even more ideas than you can write.
  • Highly proficient sub-editing skills and ability to work with a style guide.
  • Experience with social media strategy and best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of WordPress, SEO and analytics tools.
  • A good eye for images and skills with image production (preferably Photoshop).
