Overview

A cabaret inspired by beloved children's shows, a rap musical about two Irish priests, a stand-up philosopher sharing stories about human stupidity and an improvised murder mystery — whatever you're into, there's a show for you at Dom Polski during Adelaide Fringe.

The Polish community centre will host comedy, cabaret and theatre performances, so you can revisit the venue throughout the festival without catching the same show twice.

On the theatre front, travel back to the 50s in Murder Village: An Improvised Whodunnit, where you'll have the chance to determine the plot and uncover which of the improvised characters is the killer in an Agatha Christie-style mystery. If you'd rather something with less involvement, go for DINK (Double Income No Kids), which dives into the division of a relationship, or join Shane Adamczak and Sam Longley for a road trip through Western Australia in VEHICLE.

The program also includes cabarets aplenty. In Swoon, musical comedian Sophie Banister will act and sing her way through a cabaret about modern women. On the other end of the entertainment spectrum, The Brothers Rapture — A Holy Hip-Hop Cabaret explores two Irish priests' journey from sex educators to global rappers. Rising talent Florian Wild will be showcasing his talents from Melbourne in MONSTER, and fellow Victorian Samuel Roberts will pore over the challenges of adulthood in the style of nostalgic children's shows in Not For Children's Programming.
