Overview
ICYMI: Japan is having a moment. The Aussie dollar is extremely strong right now and it seems like every second person we speak to has either been to the Land of the Rising Sun recently or is making plans to go. And who can blame them? The country has stacks on offer both in and beyond the big cities, from ornate art deco-style trains that whisk you through Kyushu to epic after-dark festivals in Aomori. With a destination as rich as this, it's all in the little things.
If you've been dreaming about finally ticking Japan off your bucket list or if you'd love nothing more than to go again, there's a very exciting offer to check out. Japan National Tourism Organization is running a competition to get you and a guest to Japan with two free return flights from Sydney to Tokyo and a domestic flight within Japan, with All Nippon Airways. That way, you can get off the beaten track and explore the little things Japan has to offer.
Entry to the competition is simple: visit the JNTO website and take a good look for the letters and symbols hidden throughout. Those letters spell an eight-letter word that translates to 'sunlight filtered through a tree'. If you're able to identify the word, submit your entry into the competition.
The competition runs between Tuesday, June 4 and Tuesday, July 9. For more information or to enter, visit the JNTO website.
