Overview

Not only do we love the critters Down Under, our country is known for them the world over. Kangaroos hopping along pristine white-sand beaches, koalas chilling out among the gums, kookaburras waking us up with their jovial calls — we cherish these furry and feathered friends. Yet they're under threat from some pretty big forces: climate change, mining and logging companies and unsustainable development. In the midst of these factors, the Wilderness Society is making a mission of helping our wildlife now and well into the future.

Introducing Wild Cuts for Wildlife, a month-long fundraiser thought up by the nature-focused not-for-profit. From Saturday, June 3 until Friday, June 30, you're challenged to wear your hair how you dare. Something that pushes your boundaries. Snip it, dye it, shave it or style it — and when you're inevitably asked about it, get ready to share this important cause. You could discover your fave new 'do, and in the process raise funds and awareness for this country's precious fauna.

All money raised will go back to the Wilderness Society to allow the team's work to continue — think leading legal battles that arise during the fight for the natural world, eroding the power of destructive industries like fossil fuel giants, and advocating for new national environmental laws that actually protect wildlife and nature. If you think you're up to the challenge, sign up to get set up.

There are a few rewards up for grabs, too. That's right, if you raise over $1000, you're in the running for a $200 Zorali voucher (ideal for funding your next outdoor adventure). The top fundraiser will score themselves a pair of House of Marley wireless earbuds or a set of wireless Bluetooth speakers — plus all the glory of knowing you've done wonders for some very grateful animals.

Wild Cuts for Wildlife runs from Saturday, June 3 till Sunday, June 30. For more information and to get involved, head to the website.
