Bay of Shoals Wines

Overview

No trip to Kangaroo Island is complete without a winery visit (or few). One you should hit is Bay of Shoals Wines, which boasts the closest vines to the sea in the southern hemisphere. Located just a five minutes' drive from Kingscote, the vineyard, winery and cellar door offers tours, hamper lunches and wine tastings of its award-winning vino. The cellar door is open from 11am–5pm every day, pouring everything from riesling to oaked chardonnay, rosé, sparkling whites and reds, pinot noir, shiraz and cabernet merlot.
