Overview

Swan Valley is home to some of Western Australia's oldest grape vines, so you can expect some top-notch drops when visiting the region — particularly at the well-established Mandoon Estate. Located on Noongar land, the winery is home to all matter of on-site venues, including a cellar door, brewery, fine dining restaurant, art gallery, sprawling lawns and a hotel. You could easily spend a whole weekend here — or longer — should you wish.

Mandoon Estate also runs a number of experiences if you're one for hands-on activities. First up, there's the intimate bush tucker tasting sessions, led by Noongar Elder Dale Tilbrook, where you'll learn about traditional First Nations farming methods and the history of the Noongar peoples, as well as get to sample a variety of bush foods. There's also a wine immersion session, an interactive wine-blending class and a brewery tour. Or, you can head on a leisurely river cruise for the afternoon.
