BOOK A TABLE

Queenies, located on the corner of Giles and Kennedy Streets in Kingston, is a regal and charming bar that pays homage to Liliuokalani, the only queen regnant of the Hawaiian Kingdom (circa 1891). The venue features a large art deco-inspired bar that serves innovative cocktails, premium spirits, a wide selection of wines from the local Canberra region and Australian wineries, and a rotating roster of craft beers.

Customers can take a seat at the bar, perch at one of the high tables or slink into a spot on the plush velvet lounges. Once you're comfortable, you can order from the menu of native ingredient-driven bar snacks. Imagine everything from lemon myrtle chicken skewers to lamb ribs marinated in garlic and Dorrigo molasses.

Craving dessert? Order the riberry cheesecake with miso caramel, or the desert lime cremeux finished with honeycomb and chocolate sable. There are cheese boards, too.
