Where major arts institutions are concerned, Canberra more than punches above its weight. Independent galleries, however, are harder to come by, which is what makes the addition of Grainger Gallery to the local arts scene all the more exciting.

One of the more recent additions to the Dairy Road Precinct that has revitalised Fyshwick and its surrounding neighbourhoods, Grainger is an artist-run space helmed by partners Kacy and Richard Grainger.

Showcasing the work of established and emerging local and national artists, Grainger's aim is to cultivate a relationship between artist and patron that goes beyond the transactional, creating an exchange that's as meaningful as the work changing hands.
