Tasmania is known for having some top-notch local whisky and Bruny Island House of Whisky is one of the top spots to swing by for a tasting. So, if you don't have time to try out every distillery and taphouse around Tassie, House of Whisky is a must. It's got an extensive range of purely Tasmanian single malts, plus it's home to local label Trapper's Hut. It's also got a small selection of limited-release gins should you wish to cleanse the palate in between ambers and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and approachable, too. Opening hours vary each season, so be sure to check ahead before you go.
