Sault Cafe may be small in stature, but that doesn't mean its menu is.

A casual welcoming meeting spot located in Moonah, Sault's selection of salads, pasta dishes, burgers and more mark it out as a place for a substantial feed rather than a light bite — even if it does open early in the morning six days a week.

The homemade hash browns are a major draw and the number one bestseller according to the front page of the cafe's website, right alongside their eggs and bacon roll. They're clearly doing something right with their brews, too.

In 2023, Sault was named Toby's Estate Local Legend, meaning they can officially claim to be serving some of the best coffee in the whole of Tasmania. You can pair that famous coffee with fish and chips, carbonara, calamari, baked eggs, or a whole host of choices from the extensive menu.

This ever-reliable local haunt is consistently ranked as one of the top eating spots in the area for atmosphere, value and quality of food. Takeaway is an option but you can also settle in. If the coffee has won awards, you won't want to stop at just one cup.
