E Pellicci
Tuck into a 'full English' at this old-school workers' cafe with a cult following.
Overview
A British-Italian family cafe, E Pellicci has been serving the folks of Bethnal Green since 1900. The heritage-listed building is all yellow frontage, green and white awning, and art deco windows. Inside is a wood-panelled world of easy-clean tabletops, squeezy sauce bottles and a century of memorabilia around the walls.
From the 'Classic Set' fry-up to the hearty American-style pancakes, E Pellicci is one of London's best breakfast spots, hands down. Lunch and dinner is brought to you by a range of homemade pies, pastas and lasagne, as well as filled ciabatta rolls — including the Big Bang, with crispy chicken escalope, mozzarella and ragu. Tuck in to a gelato or tiramisu to finish.
