Overview

In the heart of London's West End theatre district, Covent Garden has expanded from a small, fresh produce market in 1830 to 200 brands (everything from Aesop to Zara), spread across nine streets, a covered hall and a piazza. Whether you're about TK Maxx or Tiffany's, oysters and champagne or barbeque and burgers, a museum-loving culture vulture or in it for the Instagrammable photo ops, there's so much to explore here.

Sitting cheek-by-jowl with London's finest theatres draws in the highest calibre of buskers. You'll even find professional opera singers stopping by to make use of the acoustics. There's always something happening throughout the year, with events across Fashion Week, Pride and Wimbledon, as well as pop-ups, exhibits at the London Transport Museum and even a high-tech urban farm. It's also a stone's throw from famed restaurants like Dishoom and Hawksmoor.
