Overview

The Mosta Dome, also known as the Mosta Rotunda, is one of the most famous and culturally important buildings on the entire island of Malta.

As one of the largest domes globally, the Church of St. Mary stands proudly as the Parish church of Mosta. It's widely known for its unique shape and paintings by Giuseppe Calì and other able artists.

But what really draws crowds is what happened during World War II. The church narrowly escaped destruction when it took a direct hit from a German bomb during mass. Miraculously, despite the church being packed, not a single soul was harmed.
