Overview
At just two square kilometres, Monaco is remarkably small. Even so, green space accounts for just over 20 percent of the principality's total landmass. With rare plants from around the globe found in abundance, the Heritage Tree Trails highlights 92 specific species chosen for their biological, botanical and environmental value.
Starting from the Tourism Office in the middle of town, this trail passes through the Jardin de la Petite Afrique, along the edge of the Casino de Monte-Carlo and into the Japanese Garden. Wandering from one featured plant to the next, you'll find detailed plaques explaining what makes each one so special to Monaco.
