Overview

Octopus Gallery Monaco explores the meeting point of art and the sea through local and international artists inspired by the water. Founded by Julie Janssens — the daughter of an opera singer and a champion swimmer — the work she displays considers the ocean and the importance of preservation.

To do so, she has collected pieces across numerous mediums, ranging from painting and sculpture to jewellery and fashion design. Situated in central Monaco, it's the ideal location to reflect on the significance of the sea, with the principality's monarchy passionate about ocean conversation for over a century.
