Overview
Just as a sandwich boom has taken over Australia, you can find sought-after sangas in Paris, too. Opened in 2005, Chez Alain Miam Miam has long attracted a crowd to his food stand, seeking a low-cost, jam-packed toasted baguette almost the size of a meal.
The concept is simple, just like every good sandwich should be. You choose a meat – like ham, prosciutto or chicken – and cantal or comté cheese. Then, heapings of fresh vegetables are stuffed inside. The queue gets long, unsurprisingly, so go early.
