Born across the Atlantic in Philadelphia, Grace Kelly took immense pride in her Irish heritage. Not only was she the leading actress of her era, but she was also the beloved Princess of Monaco and the long-time wife of Rainier III.
Following her death in 1982, the monarch opened the Princess Grace Irish Library to commemorate her life. The library features Kelly's private collection of Irish literature, sheet music and educational displays designed for kids.
