Overview

A one Michelin-star restaurant in Sorrento, Il Buco takes exceptional local ingredients and transforms them with almost artistic skill. It brings together creativity, innovation and deep cultural knowledge for the menu. The tasting menu offers a journey of discovery into the sea and land and how it's expressed in Italian cuisine. There are dishes that range from the simple crudo di mare to the luxurious gragnano pasta with lobster, saffron pistils and burrata. There's also a Japanese-influenced broccoli tagliolini with lemon potato cream, clams and katsuobushi. The menu changes with the seasons, of course, but playful finishes to the meal might include creamy lemon dessert with a froth of limoncello. All of this can be paired with one of over 1000 wine labels on offer here. Il Salotto, the more casual part of the restaurant, shares the same ethos, and also operates as a wine shop, so you can take your favourite bottle away with you.
