Retreat from the world for sunny seclusion at La Fontelina Beach Club. What began as a humble seaside grill in 1949 has transformed into the classic Mediterranean summer dream.
Wander down from the Tagara viewpoint or take a boat shuttle directly to the restaurant on the beach. You'll be allocated your own bathing spot for the day, and you can rent a parasol and lounge of your own. The blue and white umbrellas and tanning beds are scattered down among the rocky outcrop, near the waves. Lie back and look out towards the iconic Faraglioni rock formations towering out of the sea. When you like, you can dip in for a swim, then return to sate your appetite at the pergola-shaded restaurant.
Enjoy fresh pasta with fish sauce, seafood salad, and freshly baked pastries and cakes, as well as specials dictated by the catch of the day. By night, candlelight and warm lamps illuminate the dining tables and spill into the darkness of a sighing sea.
