La Tagliata
Pick veggies and learn to make pasta at this family run joint perched on the cliffs of Positano.
Overview
Want a taste of tradition in Positano? La Tagliata has been serving rustic, home-made food for over 40 years, and this family business remains one of the most popular spots in town. The restaurant is spread across three terraces overlooking the sea, with organic vegetable patches on each. It's rustic, lively and colourful, the main terrace shaded with natural timber awnings and greenery hanging over bright tablecloths and tableware.
Here, you'll be served specialty free range grilled meats, handmade pasta, homegrown vegetables and even pickles and charcuterie crafted on-site and aged in the traditional way in the wine cellar below.
Crack open the house table wine and watch the sunset over a panorama of the rocky coast. If you'd like to stay longer — maybe even take a cooking class — there are rooms available to rent.
