The Stoneleigh Latitude range from the 'Golden Mile' has extended even further, welcoming the Stoneleigh Latitude Marlborough Rosé 2014 into the range of wines. They've recently released their new Rosé to coincide with the 2014-15 Volvo Ocean Race, of which they were a proud Official Port Sponsor of the Auckland Stopover.

“Our new Stoneleigh Latitude Rosé has vibrant aromas of strawberries and delicate raspberry with subtle hints of red cherry that complement the refreshingly lively palate and fresh crisp finish,” says Jamie Marfell, Stoneleigh winemaker. “The 2014 vintage produced a fresh and fragrant style of Rosé, with hints of oak to add texture and weight to the wine.”

All of the Stoneleigh Latitude range hail from an area in Marlborough known as the ‘Golden Mile’. It's been called such due to the outstanding grape growing conditions in the area thanks to a unique strip of fertile land covered with smooth stones left by a riverbed. These stones, coupled with the free draining stony soils, help create distinctively crisp and elegant wines by soaking up the warmth from the sunshine by day, and then radiate that heat to help ripen the grapes by night. The perfect grape growing conditions, in short.

Stoneleigh Latitude Marlborough Rosé 2014 is now available in New Zealand from leading liquor retailers (RRP $22.59).
