iTMoI (in the mind of igor) is London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony choreographer Akram Khan's lastest full-lenght ensemble piece. The performance is a fusion of Khan's kinetic genius with  visionary Russian composer Igor Stravinsky's most famous controversial ballet, The Rite of Spring - a mythical work about love, marriage, faith and sacrifice its rich and delicate poetry. Stravinsky described The Rite of Spring as "a musical-choreographic work, [representing] pagan Russia ... unified by a single idea: the mystery and great surge of the creative power of Spring".

With its surrealist and disruptive music and design, The Rite of Spring caused a near-riot in the ballet and classical music world when it was first performed in 1913. Khan's award-winning iTMOi takes a trek into Stravinsky's complex mind, one which revolutionised the form of classical performance.
