Overview

We've teamed up with QT Queenstown to offer an exclusive deal via Concrete Playground Trips. This epic deal includes three nights in an Alpine King room and a full-day gourmet food and wine tour. You'll visit the historical settlements of Arrowtown and Old Cromwell, take a guided tour of the underground cave at Gibbston Valley Winery and enjoy tastings at several of the Central Otago region's top wineries. Book now from $1999 for two (offer available until December 20, 2023).

cp-line

QT hotels are known for their high-end finishes as well as their focus on art and design. And this Queenstown version lives up to the hype. Each room is full of artwork (paintings, sculptures and more), alongside simple but bold furnishings. Everything is just that bit extra.

But the most exciting feature of the rooms are the views – either of the city or of Lake Wakatipu (but the lakeside rooms are our clear faves). Look out over the vast alpine region that you came to explore from the warmth and comfort of your lavish room (each come with their own cocktail kits for in-room imbibing).

Food and drink offerings aren't too shabby either. QT Queenstown's in-house restaurant, Bazaar, serves up some of the freshest Central Otago produce in a selection of international dishes. Explore theatrical brekkie stations of Spanish-style eggs, homemade rosti and waffles with all the toppings, before treating yourself at the DIY Bloody Mary bar. Table-side seats look over Queenstown's cityscape or views of Lake Whakatipu and The Remarkables range.

If you decide to venture into town for lunch or dinner, visit the hotel's Reds Bar before or afterwards. You get those iconic views of the lake and mountain range served with signature cocktails, local wines and jazz. You also have to see sunset from up here — negroni in hand, of course.

Can't bare the idea of leaving your pup at home when you go travelling? Well QT Queenstown is one of the few pet-friendly hotels in the area – but the team does more than just let them bunk with you.

They've actually created pet-friendly rooms that come with designer bedding and bowls, a minibar for your pup, as well as a decadent in-room dogs' dinner menu designed by QT Queenstown's Head of Treats Shane Avant. Yeah, it's a bit silly. But it's also a lot of fun.
