It comes around only once every two years and brings together leading local and international talent. Theatre, dance, music, visual arts, free events, family-friendly shows - Auckland Arts Festival 2013 has it covered. It sets out to bring Auckland alive by showcasing our unique landscape, cultural diversity and vibrant energy. Going by previous years, it does a pretty good job of it too.
Some of the highlights include the British show dubbed the "funniest play on earth", a revolutionary circus experience from Colombia, New Zealand's first ever Pacific musical and a mystical Scottish tale which takes place in a pub.
