MUM Presents The Eversons, Trust Punks and Xuri Xruz
Wellingtonians The Eversons ignite yet another evening of New Zealand music as part of the MUM series at Cassette.
Overview
Noted as blending 'the catchiness of pop with the noisy guitars of indie music', Wellingtonians The Eversons ingite yet another evening of New Zealand music as part of the MUM series at Cassette. Their EP was recorded a couple of years ago now, having been playlisted on one of Air France's inflight radio channels.
Trust Punks are another on the bill, residing in Auckland. The group are an amalgamation of members from Grass Cannons and Nevernudes. Past performances have been described as 'impressing the crowd with their assaulting sound, natural stage presence and effortless interactivity'.
Xuri Xruz is the final piece of the lineup puzzle for the evening. This new band is fronted by Bradley Artist, formerly of Teenwolf and Brand New Math. Now in favour of synths and electronic beats since the demise of his previous associations, this should be an interesting performance to say the least. Their maiden show saw Bradley pass out on his keyboard, which followed with the addition of a third member, Ollie Skinner. There first single was produced by James Dnasey from The Sneaks.
