Overview

If you like your synth-based music in the bracket of new-wave, indie-dance, funk-pop and dance-rock - then Whistlejacket may just be what you’ve been looking for.

The four-piece, named after the famous George Stubbs painting, consists of members whose performing and writing credits span across well known bands: Rubicon, The Exponents, Opshop and Nesian Mystic. They can also boast their own custom made suit jackets, complete with pocket emblem.

The band are due to celebrate the release of their aptly debut EP Year Of The Horse, which has already spun off singles ‘She Likes Pop Art’ and ‘We Get This Feeling’. See them, their jackets, and support acts Sam Allen and Lightning On Me at Kingsland’s Nectar Bar on September 11.
