Overview

This post is sponsored by our partner, Jameson.

Jillionaire, one third of electronic outfit Major Lazer will perform at K'Rd's Studio venue, in an event that has been described as a crazy multi-zone extravaganza. The Trinidad & Tobago-born DJ and producer is known for his unique sound, which mashes house with the caribbean rhythms of soca and dancehall. As well as performing alongside Major Lazer, his solo career has taken him across the globe, through Europe, the UK, Asia and the Americas. He was last in New Zealand at this year's Big Day Out.

Also taking one of the many stages at Something Special will be: unconventional music collective Weird Together - in their first performance since founder Nick D set off overseas, DJ and production crew Beat Mafia, Auckland DJs Mike Ross and Abzo, as well as a cast of George FM DJs inside Peter Fonda's Silent Disco.
