Overview

After being forced to postpone their original concert at Western Springs Park earlier this year, The Rolling Stones will perform on the new date of November 22 at an upsized Mt Smart Stadium.

The UK rhythm and blues legends are regularly considered as one of the Greatest Bands of All Time. Over their 52-year stint, they've racked up an estimated 250 million album sales, used the Hells Angels as concert security, had their fair share of run-ins with the police, influenced hundreds of thousands of copy cat bands in garages around the world, and had their infamous dance moves immortalised in a repetitive mainstream hit.

Alongside staple members, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, the band appearing down under will include Mick Taylor, who was a member of the band for 5 years. They will treat the 30,000-odd concert-goers to classics including ‘Gimme Shelter’, ‘Paint It Black’, ‘Jumping Jack Flash’, some lesser known gems, and a fair dose of lip flaunting and chicken strutting.

The upgrade to Mt Smart has also opened up a further 6000 tickets.
